Postal Worker Injured When Car Spins Out Of Control

An employee of the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has been hospitalized after an out of control car slammed into a USPS delivery truck in Miami. A USPS spokesperson said that the employee, a letter carrier, was taken to a local trauma center.

The Miami Police Department said that a black Chrysler 300 was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver appeared to have lost control. The Chrysler hit a street light, bounced off of a business and hit the USPS truck. The driver and passenger of the Chrysler were transported to the same hospital with minor injuries. Police stated that the man and woman gave inconsistent statements about who was driving. The evidence appears to show that the woman was not the driver. The injuries suffered by the USPS worker were not life threatening.

USPS Workers’ Compensation Benefits
